Charging station Motherboard for Automower® 105, 305, 308X, R40Li, R45Li, R70Li,
Motherboard LS G3-P1
All model years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, ...
Important NOTICE:
576 24 26-01 Rev.xx ect.
This old charging station PCB(576 24 26-01) is no longer available. It has been replaced by a new PCB (586 73 39-0X, 592 90 94-0x). There is a visual difference between these two boards! But this is only optical, technically it is suitable for all models 2011-2015! So do not compare the components on the board! Only the label (with article number) on the board counts! Not the optics!
After installing the new circuit board.
Readjust the loop signal.
1st LED on the charging station must light up green.
(If it flashes, there is a fault in the charging station or on the loops). 2.
2. place Automower® in the charging station
3. Automower® "Menu" => Security (lock symbol)
Check "New loop signal" okey. 5.
5. wait, successful or changed must appear.
Note on the charging station board:
Many buyers order the charging station PCB even though it is probably not defective.
(As circuit boards are often sealed, they are often excluded from the right of withdrawal).
We would like to help you with these tips.
What does your LED on the charging station show?
- It is constantly green, but has the error message "No loop signal". Try to create (change) a new loop signal in "Menu -> Security -> New loop signal". If successful, a success message must appear. (The green LED must light up constantly!).
If the change to a new loop signal fails, the charging station board may be defective, but it does not have to be. It can also be due to the Automower® itself. (Sensors, Main Board, ... also the battery can be the case).
The Automower® no longer charges, no charging current.
The charging station board does NOT regulate the charging current for the Automower®! If there is a charging problem with your Automower® the fault is often a different one, very very rarely the charging station board is to blame. Often it is the battery, transformer, transformer cable, corrosion on the charging contacts of the charging station (AM-57585000_ or AM-5744770_) or on the Automower® itself.
- It flashes yellow or blue. Then 98% of the time the loop in your lawn is also faulty. I have already checked it and it is OK. Are you sure? Make a counter test and check the charging station circuit board with it. Create a test cable with a guide wire, i.e. a "Y" cable, a cable length of a few cm is sufficient. Unplug the power plug (230V) from your socket. Remove the AF, AR and SK (guide) cables from your charging station. Plug in the "Y" test cable of a few cm. Pay attention to the "PINS" in the charging station. (These can slip backwards into the charging station. After connecting the "Y" cable, plug the 230V power plug (transformer) into the socket.
What does the LED do now?
- If it lights up green, then the charging station board is probably not defective. Then you must check your loop system and the guide wire (SK). The value must be less than 7.0 Ohm. (Multimeter. Do not confuse with KOhm (KiloOhm) or MOhm (megaOhm).
- If the LED continues to flash yellow or blue, check the three connectors and the wiring harness again first. Is everything OK? Then the charging station circuit board is most likely defective.
- LED on the charging station is off, does not light up.
Then the charging station circuit board may be defective, but not necessarily. Very often the fault lies with the transformer cable (low voltage cable) which has often been bent, pressed or scratched.
Check the entire length of the transformer cable very carefully! Corrosion on the plugs and pins can often be the reason. Check all four plugs with pins (LS, transformer, transformer cable) carefully. In case of corrosion, only replacement will help in the long run.
The transformer itself may also be defective. To check this, you can read off and measure the voltage (values on the transformer type plate. Output!) with a multimeter.
We recommend that you always place the transformer away from rain and sunlight.
- LED lights up or flashes RED
Clear electronic error. But what is defective? The transformer may be defective. However, the wiring harness in the charging station may be defective (especially in the case of the P1). Interruption of the "F" signal in the charging station. Before ordering a new LS board, check and measure the WHITE cable (connector pin 1 and 6) for continuity. Measure continuity with a multimeter. The value must indicate a clear continuity, i.e. an Ohm value of less than 2 Ohm. (Do not confuse with KOhm (KiloOhm) or MOhm (megaOhm). (Value "infinite or too high" "O.L" This means as much as no continuity, i.e. interruption, cable defective!
-LS wiring harness on P1 models 5744765-0X, 5884903-0X, 581225903-0X depending on year of manufacture!)
-LS wiring harness on P15 model also replaceable. (AMxxxxxxxx)
